Cancellation timeline

More than 24 hours before pickup
100% refund of any advance paid. No cancellation charge.
6 to 24 hours before pickup
80% refund (₹100 flat cancellation fee applies to cover driver reservation).
2 to 6 hours before pickup
50% refund. Advance retained to cover confirmed driver allocation.
Less than 2 hours before pickup or no-show
No refund. The full advance is retained as the driver is en-route or has been dispatched.

1. Cancellation by the customer

You may cancel your booking any time before pickup by calling +91 91531 36744 or replying "CANCEL" on the WhatsApp thread we use to confirm your ride. Cancellation is only considered complete once you receive a written confirmation from our team (WhatsApp or SMS). Refund eligibility depends on when the cancellation is received (see timeline below).

2. Cancellation by GayaRentals

In the unlikely event we have to cancel a ride due to vehicle breakdown, weather, road closure or driver unavailability, we will offer you (a) a replacement vehicle of equal or better category, or (b) a 100% refund of the advance paid — your choice. Any inconvenience will be sincerely apologised for.

3. Modification of booking

You can change pickup time, add stops, or upgrade vehicle category before pickup by contacting us on WhatsApp or phone. Additional charges may apply for upgrades or longer distances. Fare re-quotes will be shared before the change is confirmed.

4. Refund process & timelines

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment source within 5 to 7 business days. UPI refunds typically reflect within 1–2 days; bank transfers may take up to 7 days. You will receive a confirmation with the refund UTR once initiated.

5. Non-refundable charges

The following charges are non-refundable once a trip has commenced: distance already covered (billed at per-km rate), waiting time beyond 30 free minutes (₹2/minute), tolls, parking, state permit fees, and night-driving surcharge if applicable.

6. Disputes and chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of the trip with the booking reference and a brief description. We aim to resolve disputes within 5 business days. Please avoid raising bank chargebacks without first contacting us — direct resolution is faster and preserves your booking history with us.

7. How to request a refund

Send an email to nnilmani000@gmail.com with subject "Refund request — <Booking Ref>" including: your name, phone, booking reference, trip date, reason for the refund, and preferred refund method. Alternatively, WhatsApp us with the same details. Our team will confirm eligibility within 24 hours.
